Termka is a solo-maker brand building premium wooden phone stands in the UK. We believe your desk deserves better than plastic.
It started with frustration
Like most people, I had a cheap plastic phone stand on my desk. It wobbled. It looked terrible. It cracked within months. And when I searched for something better, everything was either mass-produced aluminium with no warmth, or overpriced for what it was.
So I made my own. I found a piece of walnut offcut at a local timber merchant, sketched an angle on the back of an envelope, and spent a weekend in the workshop carving, sanding, and oiling. The result wasn't perfect \u2014 but it felt right. It was warm to the touch, heavy enough to stay put, and genuinely beautiful on the desk.
Friends noticed. They asked where I bought it. When I said I made it, they asked if I could make one for them. That was the beginning.
The Name
Why “Termka”?
Termkais an Albanian word for “bee.” My family comes from Albania, and the bee has always been a symbol I've admired \u2014 not for honey, but for how it works.
Bees are precise. They build hexagonal cells that are structurally perfect, wasting nothing. They're purposeful \u2014 every movement has a reason. And they create something extraordinary from natural materials.
That's the ethos behind every stand we make. Precise. Purposeful. Built from nature.

Natural Materials
Every Termka stand begins as a single piece of sustainably sourced walnut. No veneers, no MDF, no plastic. Just honest wood, finished with natural oil wax that lets the grain speak for itself.
Minimal Design
We strip away everything that doesn’t need to be there. What remains is a form that’s intuitive, elegant, and built to last. No branding on the product — just clean lines and considered angles.
Made in the UK
Designed, carved, sanded, and finished right here in the United Kingdom. We keep our supply chain short and our quality control close. Every stand is inspected by the hands that made it.
